Zea mays convar dentiformis
Very tall growing historical maize variety with red cobs.
This massive maize variety was cultivated in America as early as 1845. The plants reach a height of 2-3 meters. The cobs, which are coloured in various strong red tones, stand out. The strong colour probably gave the maize variety "bloody butcher" its name. The flasks can be used in three stages. As a young cob, very sweet and can be consumed like sweet corn. Later as ordinary corn and finally ripe as a beautiful autumn decoration or to make cornmeal.
